GO BNMC Commuter Toolkit
The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus has launched its new campaign, GO BNMC, an initiative connecting its employees to alternative transportation options and to one another, making green commuting the most convenient option to choose. If you walk, bike, carpool, vanpool or take the Metro Bus or Rail to and from work, you should become a member of GO BNMC in order to start receiving rewards for your smart commuting choices. If you don’t use any of the previously mentioned commuting options, become a member of GO BNMC to learn about smarter, greener, and healthier ways to commute.
GO BNMC is a part of the GO Buffalo Community Transportation push to promote health, safety, community, environmental sustainability and quality of life for all in every season.
Members of GO BNMC can connect with other commuters, making it easy to share greener and healthier transportation experiences. Through GO BNMC, you can choose a travel option that best suits your needs and is much less cumbersome than driving alone to work while having to incur the costs that come with keeping a vehicle on the road.
As a GO BNMC member, you have the chance to receive access to incentives that include:
- A Monthly Smart Commuting Raffle offering members the chance to win gift certificates to local restaurants, shops and entertainment centers
- A Monthly “Free 30 Day Metro Pass” Raffle
- A free “1 Week Transit Pass” trial for members new to Metro Bus and Rail
- A subsidized “30 Day Metro Pass” trial for up to three months for members new to Metro Bus and Rail (Subsidized passes start at only $20)
- Memberships to Buffalo CarShare and Buffalo BikeShare to help improve your ability to get around once you arrive at work
- And much more!
Leaving your car at home no longer comes with the hassle of trying to figure out how you will get to and from work in a reasonable amount of time, in the event of an emergency, or run errands during lunch. Through Buffalo CarShare, employees who sign-up for a membership have access to a car, and soon-to-come, employees will have access to Social Bicycles through Buffalo BikeShare. As a GO BNMC member, you are never without a ride home if you sign-up for the Guaranteed Ride Home program. It’s free, paid for by GO BNMC.
