Health & Well-Being

Creating Healthy Culture

BNMC has been a driving force in Campus and community-wide efforts to promote healthy eating, active living, and well-being. While people primarily think of the Campus as a place to treat illness, BNMC is actively engaged in creating a culture of health and well-being both on the Campus and throughout the community.

By collaborating with institutional partners and community stakeholders, BNMC works to attract funders, develop strategies, and design innovative programs to curate health-promoting environments, build up the regional food system, and support health equity. Each of these is reflected in our three priority areas:

3rd Annual Food as Medicine Symposium

Transformative Practices for Health

September 27th and 28th, 2023

Food as Medicine

We believe that addressing public health through food and nutrition programs alongside community partners will bring us closer to achieving health equity.

Corporate Well-Being

We help companies succeed by co-creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture of well-being and belonging.

Food Systems

We strategize and implement initiatives that build and strengthen the local food system.

Community Health

We work with partners to facilitate, implement, and support healthy food and active living initiatives throughout the city of Buffalo.
