Thomas R. Beecher, Jr., is a partner in the Buffalo, New York, law firm of Phillips Lytle LLP. He is also President of Ballynoe Inc., a Director of Albany International Corp. and Chair of the Board of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. Mr. Beecher is former Chairman of the Board of Buffalo General Hospital, Kaleida Health, and Rand Capital Corporation, as well as being a former Director of Fleet National Bank. He is a founder and Director of the Buffalo Inner-city Scholarship Opportunity Network (BISON) Inc. Mr. Beecher is a member of the American Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, and the Dean’s Advisory Council of the School of Law at SUNY Buffalo. He is on the Investment Committee of both the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo and Canisius College.

Mr. Beecher has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Holy Cross College and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law. He is the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, the Canisius High School Alumni Hall of Fame Award, St. Thomas More Award of the Catholic Lawyers Guild, the Distinguished Alumnus Award at the SUNY School of Law, the Medaille College Award, the Gaudete Medal from St. Bonaventure University, the Canisius College Regents Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award, and the Lawrence D. Jacobs MD award from the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Mr. Beecher resides in Buffalo with his wife, Judy.
